Modern Love Stories for Romantic Rebels
Together we’ll create something true to you, beautiful and real. Planning a ceremony is an incredible experience and I'll be with you every step of the way. I will be your source of knowledge to bounce ideas off and show you how to rip up the rule book, so you can have a ceremony that’s truly unique and reflects your vibe and values. Goodbye bland and boring ceremonies.
Understanding what is special to you and how you want to feel is so important, we’ll explore what you like and don’t like. There are no restrictions on the type of ceremony you can have; it can include all the traditions, modern twists, religious content, humour or something completely alternative. Your ceremony can take place day or night, indoor or outdoor and doesn’t have to be in a licensed venue. If you’ve dreamt of a wedding celebration on a beach, at your family home or at the place you first met, you can have it. Imagine it. Total freedom.
I’ve always been inspired by the truth of love, how it uplifts and can heal us. I believe my role is to help you celebrate that individual love. Who wants to be the same as everyone else anyway? One of my favourite things about being a celebrant is bringing meaning and personality to ceremonies. I love encouraging couples to think outside the box, explore their wildest dreams and wishes. It’s a privilege to be part of the creation and hear real, brave and bold love stories.

Choosing your vows together or writing personalised vows as a surprise is a beautiful and memorable way to declare your love to each other. A&M’s chilled wedding ceremony included a twist on the vows they decided to write them as a surprise on behalf of each other, the first time they saw them was on the day of the ceremony. They were funny and from the heart, the perfect choice for this cool couple.
Exchanging gifts or rings can be a central part of the ceremony. In R&D’s ceremony, they included a beautiful ring warming the best man passed the rings to the bride and groom’s Mam’s who each made a silent wish of love for the marriage. In turn, they bestowed their blessing and good wishes on the rings before they were returned to the bride and groom for the exchange.
It can be really fun spending time selecting readings and asking a close friend or relative to be part of your ceremony. Don't worry if you don't have the time to find a reading you love I can help make selections for you. In K&C’s ceremony, their best friend wrote a storytelling poem all about their love story it had us all laughing and crying happy tears.
Singing and Performances
From hymns to singing along to tracks from your life mixtape adding a song to the ceremony will change the energy of your ceremony. Love is to be celebrated, shout about it and share it. In J&A’s ceremony, a choir sang Lean on Me as we all joined in singing and dancing along.
Adding symbolism can bring a deeper meaning to your ceremony. You could create a unique unity ritual of your own or take inspiration from history such as handfasting or lighting a candle. In K&A’s ceremony, we tied the knot using coloured fabrics that were significant to them. The knots tied are kept to remind them of their bond and symbolised when you pull on a knot it becomes stronger a great lesson for a marriage. Together you can face anything that comes your way.
