Your Ceremony Inspiration

This is your space, to be inspired by “I would never of thought of this” enlightenment, the “oh I like that” ideas and the “this is what I’m looking for” lightbulb moments.

Each ceremony I create is bespoke and unique to you, based on your vision and vibe. Lets have a chat to bring your ceremony to life.

As an independent celebrant I have no restriction on what we can include in your ceremony. I start with how you want to feel and what’s important to you both.

You might already know what you want to include in the ceremony, or you might need some inspiration. I’ll help you mix modern with traditional, create new ideas, and balance the right energy and flow. I’m here to give you an incredible ceremony that mirrors your love and style.

Here are just a few of my favourite ceremony moments. Get in touch to discuss your personal requirements.

Vows

Choosing your vows together, or writing personalised vows to be spoken during your wedding ceremony, is a beautiful and memorable way to declare your love to each other.

A&M’s chilled wedding ceremony included a special twist on the traditional vows. They decided to write them as a surprise, but on behalf of each other. The first time they saw them was on the day of the ceremony. That’s right. Neither had any idea what the other had written for them. The read them to each other after passing a sealed envelope to one another in the ceremony. They were funny and from the heart. The perfect choice for this cool couple.

Symbolism

Exchanging gifts or rings can be a central part of your ceremony. In R&D’s ceremony, they included a ring warming. The best man passed the wedding rings to the couples Mam’s who each made a silent wish of love for the marriage, bestowing good wishes on the rings before they were returned to the bride and groom for the exchange.

From handfasting to lighting candles, there are many traditional rituals that can create intimate moments of unity within your ceremony. Perhaps, creating a unique ritual is more your thing? It’s thirsty work getting wed, so how about creating a cocktail during the ceremony? A perfect blend of sweet and sour.

It can be really fun spending time selecting readings to involve close friends and family in your ceremony. But if you don't have the time to find a reading you love, I can help make selections for you. In K&C’s ceremony, their best friend wrote a storytelling poem all about their love story it had us all laughing and crying happy tears.

Perhaps you have an author than means something to you, or a collection of poetry kept by your parents that you’d like to take inspiration from? If not I can help you find the perfect reading for a modern ceremony, that’s cheese free. There’s no bland and boring, here.

Music

Whether you’d like hymns and traditional songs or a mix tape featuring tracks from your life, adding music will change the energy of your ceremony. Love is to be celebrated. Shout about it and share it. In J&A’s ceremony, a gospel choir sang Lean on Me as we all joined in singing and dancing along .

You can still create the joy of music without hiring a choir, maybe you have a talented singer as a guest willing to sing on the day? Or perhaps you already know once your guests hear the first beats of Only You on Spotify they will be singing and swaying along, channelling their inner pop star.
